1. Surprised that a post hasn’t started yet.

America is starting to get rather freaked. Lots of people working remotely. I work for T-Mobile as an account executive (b2b sales) and we have been instructed to work remotely for the next two to three weeks. What does everyone else’s world look like right now?

(PS I rarely post anymore and am only on my cellphone... administration please move to the correct thread if it’s not in the right place)
  2. I live in Belgium. From today the schools will be closed for 3 weeks. People get the advice to work from home and limit contact with other people. Grandparents aren’t allow to see their grandchildren. There will be childcare for people who have no other solution like doctors or nurses. Restaurants are closed. Shops are closed in the weekends. Some people got crazy and bought 30 packs of toilet paper. Some people don’t care about the rules and organise lockdown-parties. We follow the rules and will be working from home. Our kids will be homeschooled.
  3. Czech Republic: closed borders, closed shops (except for groceries, drugstores etc...), pubs and restaurants, limited going outside (you can go to work, shop, doctor or when you care about someone, you can even to the nature like parks and forests but not meeting with other people).
    But pretty strict...
  4. Btw schools have been closed for about a week...
  5. I guess people can read about it everywhere and wanted at least one place where they can forget about it for a while...
  6. Also working from home for some weeks and wouldn’t be surprised if it will last longer.

Everything here is closed except some vital processes. Public transport and borders still open.
  7. UK where it is a very different approach to elsewhere. Business as usual. Schools open. The only thing impacted so far is sport.
The UK government appear happy for the disease to spread to try and get some immunity in society.
They clearly think a 1% death rate isn't worth risking the economy for, so are willing to let the spread continue and will only take further measures once the health service becomes overwhelmed.

  9. Even U2 made Stay at empty Berlin Arena ;p
So far not bad in PL but it will be difficult to get over it business wise ... memories of JT32 tour in Singapore are like from distant past

    Aren’t you worried?
I mean....are you aware of what is happening?
Doesn’t it seem a bit dangerous going on as nothing happened?
    You should raise your voice

Yes very worried. The government must be aware but this is the route they are choosing. It is especially concerning for the elderly.
Only hindsight will tell if they have chosen the correct route.
  12. It seems in Australia it isn’t as bad as others, (lucky were one country living on one continent) At the moment we only have this in place; people flying in from overseas, mandatory 14 days self isolation, most of the major sports and events with over 500+ people called off or played without a crowd. Schools, Uni’s still running. Most people are still working. Though people are unnecessarily panic shopping even though there’s no lockdown at the moment.
