1. Here in Spain we are officially in quarantine for ten days now. I moved to a new house a few weeks back and I'm still working my way out through the piles of cardboard boxes and bags full of stuff, so I haven't had the time to listen to much U2 (or music for what is worth)... But there's that one song that keeps haunting me. Right now, going out could actually kill someone or end up killing yourself by catching the virus, and I've been thinking of the Sarajevo people that had to choose from dying of starvation at their home or going out and getting killed by snipers. Of course I'm not comparing our "little pandemic" with a bloody war that ruined millions of lives, it's just I've been thinking how terrible it must have been to live under that deathly pressure for years... Wow.

So here's to all Sarajevans and to everyone that can't go out nowadays. Be strong, just do the right thing and stay home.

Is there a time for keeping your distance
A time to turn your eyes away.
Is there a time for keeping your head down
For getting on with your day.

Is there a time to run for cover
A time for kiss and tell.
    A time for different colours
Different names you find hard to spell.

Dici che il fiume trova la via al mare
E come il fiume giungerai a me
Oltre i confini e le terre assetate
Dici che come il fiume, come il fiume...
    L'amore giungerà.
    L'amooooooooore...
    E non so più pregare.
E nell'amore non so più sperare.
E quell'amore non so più aspettare.

  2. Nailed it
  3. Thanks sir! Except that I missed the third verse (run for cover / kiss and tell / different colors / different names)... I guess that's what happens when you sing from memory without giving a proper listen to the song before recording it Now I understand why Bono needs a teleprompter even for remembering Larry's surname!

Very nice! Did you use a metronome or clicktrack for the recording?
  5. Is there a time for keeping your social distance
A time to not wipe your eyes away.
Is there a time for keeping your mask on
And not going outside to play

    So accurate and sad!
  9. No, just my guitar, a tremolo pedal and an amplifier Nothing else.

    I'll answer you Dm's (*) now!

    (*) And I don't mean your D minor chords

@LikeASong, I had to quickly try how your version would sound mixed with U2's backing, sorry couldn't help it I just quickly tried the Opera segment but here you go, it fits nicely so you must have a bit of a metronome in your head

Btw video is unlisted on youtube and it doesn't mention you in any way. If you want me to take it down, I'll do that immediately

Hahaha, what the hell! I'm a little behind the beat here and there but overall it fits so well. Well done It's a bit blushing to hear myself instead of The Opera Man himself but I won't deny I enjoyed it quite a lot Thanks for doing it.
