1. Something from Iris

"The darkness just lets us see
    Who we are ..."

    And 13 ( There Is A Light )

Speaks to me always and everywhere...
    Nowdays especially hard.

I think it is very much about the current "life situation" you are in. I felt like Bono has been reading the same books I have been reading... Nonsence, I know, but it felt and feels this way. With this new situation I find so many lyrics from this album even more relevant and uplifting. Again...love the whole album
lyrics are great, musically there are a few great songs, but also a couple that are barely U2 worthy (lack of inspiration, time, or whatever).
  3. If God Will Send His Angels, Miracle drug.
  4. I wanna run, I want to hide
I wanna tear down the walls
    That hold me inside.
    I wanna reach out
    And touch the flame
Where the streets have no name.

I wanna feel sunlight on my face.
    I see the dust-cloud
    Disappear without a trace.
    I wanna take shelter
    From the poison rain
Where the streets have no name
  5. Here in Spain we are officially in quarantine since last Friday. I moved to a new house a few weeks back and I'm still working my way out through the piles of cardboard boxes and bags full of stuff, so I haven't had the time to listen to much U2 (or music for what is worth)... But there's that one song that keeps haunting me. Right now, going out could actually kill someone or end up killing yourself by catching the virus, and I've been thinking of the Sarajevo people that had to choose from dying of starvation at their home or going out and getting killed by snipers. Of course I'm not comparing our "little pandemic" with a bloody war that ruined millions of lives, it's just I've been thinking how terrible it must have been to live under that deathly pressure for years... Wow.

So here's to all Sarajevans and to everyone that can't go out nowadays. Be strong, just do the right thing and stay home.

Is there a time for keeping your distance
A time to turn your eyes away.
Is there a time for keeping your head down
For getting on with your day.

Is there a time to run for cover
A time for kiss and tell.
    A time for different colours
Different names you find hard to spell.

Dici che il fiume trova la via al mare
E come il fiume giungerai a me
Oltre i confini e le terre assetate
Dici che come il fiume, come il fiume...
    L'amore giungerà.
    L'amooooooooore...
    E non so più pregare.
E nell'amore non so più sperare.
E quell'amore non so più aspettare.

  6. I just went outside for a quick run in the park and to get some groceries. Activities like that I found downright scary last week, but with new measures (and much better behaviour) it felt relieving actually.

Then I walked into the supermarket (where 1 person/10m3 is allowed) and Stuck in a moment started on the music system, so that was a bit of a "heart bump" moment of joy. So it's new meaning for is "Stuck in a moment, but I can get out of it"
  7. Silver and Gold 87. I don't mean to bug ya
  8. Where you live should not decide
Whether you live or whether you die

Haha nice! I guess it was "just" Stuck with no remix or mashup?
  10. I went out shopping earlier today (first time out of the house&garden since 10 days ago! definitely felt like a holiday but without the fun part of it) and the shipping mall was a bit like The Walking Dead, they made us wait outside until some people got out to avoid many clients gathering inside at the same time, they handed masks and plastic gloves at the entrance, disinfected the trolley at entrance and exit, guards were loudly calling out people who got too close to others, etc. SURREAL. Definitely NOT refreshing nor relieving like Melon says... More like creepy and scary, actually.

Interestingly I just came back from Lidl and there was barely anyone there and the shelves were full!
