It is hard to review this show...is true that they had mistakes but it was a very good show with a lot of new ( and difficult ) songs.
    robotsandmonkeys:

Pure schadenfreude. Thankfully I've seen them many times since, and feel a strange sense of history being there at this awful opening night.

  2. Count me in for the Bono & Edge stoning
  3. This was one of the first shows I downloaded from this site! I have a soft spot for it, even if the performance is not good.
  4. Did you know it was shambles beforehand? I can only imagine how one must feel if Vegas 97 is one of the first unofficial recordings you listen to unaware of the trainwreck

This and Sarajevo were like some of the first shows I downloaded, LOL.
  6. " Hmmm not sure if I've joined a U2 site or a Bon Jovi one "
    - Welsh_Edge, 2014.
  7. i can't wait to listen to MIAMI
  8. Are we going to be watching this or listening? I notice there's a video available.
  9. That's a great one! I listen to this show regularly, although performance is not 'that' good, I really like the raw versions of all the POP songs and of course the few which were dropped from the setlist later on.

Pride on the Gretch (I think) and a semitone too high for Bono's desert-impacted voice. He goes all the way though to hit the notes..
  11. Yes, Pride was played on the Gretsch Country Gentleman, but it was in Bb (Eb tuning) as usual Bono was just struggling, as in the whole of Popmart. And sure, Nevada's desert had an impact as we very well know.
  12. I personally like this setlist the best out of all the rest of the tour. From Vegas to Tempe to be exact. Shame they dropped DYFL.
