1. No I’m not, I’m saying, if record shops can’t be open do to corona virus, a way to get people to experience these releases would be to put them out there in another way. Other than that, if this wasn’t going on, I’d much rather go to the record store

Let's face it RSD is a no goer this year, but I still don't think they should release anything on a digital platform, I appreciate the whole idea of RSD is to support your local record shop and get a physical copy of whatever you can get your hands on, so maybe they should try doing it online this year, I know a lot of independent record stores do online ordering, that way your still supporting your local record store, but will the logistics of it work? I dunno
  3. My local record store posted that RSD 2020 is cancelled completely. There will be 3 dropping days on which the releases will be released. The list of which releases on which day will be june 1st.

Yes, it's being split into three days, August 29, September 26, and October 24. They will split the list among the three days. They are working with the labels now to decide what releases will be cancelled, and what ones will fall on each day.

Thanks! Didn't know the dates yet
  6. the Black Friday event falls exactly one month later as well. So one event every month for four months. Hopefully it helps out some of the Record Shops hurt in the current situation....
  7. Interesting. I support local "record stores" now via Discogs. Not always brick-and-mortar, but "local" for sure. I plan to do the RSD the same way as I really don't mind to pay a little extra in order to stay safe. I do miss going through the crates with second hand vinyl though, especially now that I mastered the art of cleaning vinyl

But it will be great to have something to look forward to at each "drop" - hopefully
  8. Wasn't RSD postponed until 20th of june
  9. It’s been cancelled completely now I think , but the releases will be released on 3 different days across the year
  10. Yeah, three "drops" now
"The new version of The List, with newly assigned RSD Drops dates will launch on June 1..."

  11. Luckily we don't have to wait till Oct.

I see U2 are included in the first drop in August.
