1. Hi,

Have time on my hands due to ‘Lockdown’ so having a good look around the site.
Bought my first U2 album in 1983 & was instantly hooked with each subsequent album seeming to coincide with a key point of my life.
Best Live show Zoo TV at Wembley, but Pop in Dublin was amazing as was the emotional Elevation at Earls Court in 2001 as we learnt in the queue that Bob Hewson had passed away.
  2. Same for me '83, pivotal moment. First tour Unforgettable Fire.
  3. Nice to know that there are others as old as me, 1983 seems a very long time ago now but I cherish those memories around the music.
  4. Also fan since 1983/1984, the clip of Sunday Bloody Sunday makes me fan and the fandom started forever when I heard the song The Unforgettable Fire. It takes so long those days when finally The Joshua Tree came out.
  5. New Years Day started the obsession for me & then many hours of homework were done whilst listening & dreaming away to The Unforgettable Fire, it was my go to album for escapism. The Joshua Tree came out when I was at College & I played it daily during my train commute. It was and still remains an absolute Masterpiece.
  6. Achtung Baby was released when I was at Residential Training School & I was travelling back & forth to home. I played it back to back without fail on every 3 hour journey, it blew me away.
  7. Also jumped on board the U2 train in '83 and have totally enjoyed the ride since. Who could have imagined then that we'd still be hearing new music and seeing them fill stadiums nearly 40 years later.
  8. Remember all those years ago when Bono sang with Clannad, I thought ‘here we go’ solo career but they remained loyal to each other, yes, who would have thought 40 years on and we still want more.

Welcome Long term fan! Good to have you around.
  10. Hi!
I have a question for the "old" fans of the band.
    It's about Boy, 12-inch disc.
  11. I only have Boy on CD

"I thought ‘here we go’ solo career" That's a good one
