Lorely or US Festival.. Werchter 1982, Berlin, San Francisco 1981, Conspiracy of Hope.. LA or Devore 1987.. Zoo TV indoor also has some nice stable audience shots.
or just a great audio boot, there are many good ones from the 80's..
well, I don't know, I don't think this particular one was a great choice.. it really took some effort to sit this one out.. and always the same people joining, with the 'same' jokes or whatever.. quite predictable.. anyway, don't want to complain to much as I can easily pick something for myself to watch or listen to.. just trying to help a bit, this is not getting the average U2 fan to join in I'm afraid. Audio might work better anyway. Stockholm and Las Vegas worked quite nice I think.
You do realise those are mostly proshots or tv broadcasts right? We can’t go down that path, not with YouTube’s system with regards to takedowns and copyright.

However, a nice Unforgettable Fire audio bootleg would be nice for next time!
  2. The average U2 fan was probably putting their Red Rocks DVD on at the same time as a few other people last night and chatting in Zootopia. There is a fan event out there for everyone.

Purely out of interest how come we can't use proshots etc for a watch party? As long as you haven't uploaded them I can't see anything wrong with a few people watching it all at once whilst talking in a forum... similar to how the Netflix party extension for Chrome isn't affiliated with Netflix, it's just a way to get everyone watching at the same time

(Sorry if I've missed something obvious, I'm just wondering - obviously I understand if we're just being cautious!)

For YouTube Live to work I have to upload it. Then it will play at the same time for everyone.

Much better than clicking the play button simulteanously
  5. To rewatch the show from yesterday:

Ahh okay - that makes sense! Didn't realise you had to upload it yourself

I think audio works as good (or better) and gives you a lot more recordings to choose from.. and also more freedom to tune in while doing something else.

according to the homepage there are over 72 thousand U2start members.. I think there were not even 72 watching.

What’s worse is that it was streamed on YouTube and they claim over 2B monthly viewers.

Or you can just not watch the video...
  11. not sure if you're just messing around with me with this and your previous comment.. that would be a shame as I'm just trying to make a few valid points. I like the idea of those setlistparties, but for some reason it doesn't seem to appeal to many which results in just a u2start staff party (more or less). I think there were a few good ones, yesterday was a bit annoying in multiple ways. If I'm the only one having this 'problem', it's quite easy to solve, but maybe it should be a point of attention. Of course this can easily be perceived as bitching, but I like to see it as positive critisism
