  1. 4 options are better than no option?
  2. Multiple (choice) answer(s):

    1) Yeah, why not

    2) Please don't bring this up, we had a huge fight over it in the crew. It's a compromise, alright!

    3) 2 Elevation shows is are better than 1

    4) Because we want to give the people (with twitter power!) some choice, but also give some direction
as to the crew's preference...in some subtle twitter kinda way (I don't know, I'm not on twitter myself )*

    * like there is this golden rule in advertising that there is no such thing as bad publicity, something like that?

But here is the main question, which show would you choose out of the given options? ("no vote" is also an option)
  3. Elevation choices will now be spread over 2 options. No big deal, but it makes it's harder for them to win My choice would be San Jose (the 2nd one), the first bootleg I ever downloaded from the internet, over a telephone line. Took me over 24 hours and it costed a fortune in telephone costs
  4. I would vote for Tel Aviv but I don't have twitter...

Yeah, I love that San Jose Elevation show too
(hahaha...yeah, I remember those days with that good old FTP bootleg server... )

But you can blame it on me: I proposed both San Jose (4/20) and Popmart Tel Aviv

Anyway, the Tel Aviv '97 is my own TLC version of the Tube silver cd "Soundboard edition" with no "fairly catastrophic midi failures" as @WideAwakeBadBoy mentioned whatsoever

I think it was just on some random website (not FTP yet). That was quite something, having the bootleg within a few days after the show. But living in a student house I wasn't allowed to do that again, occupy the phoneline for hours/days and making huge costs Later on there was Elevashn (lossless), another mp3 FTP server (bloodredskyhub or something??) and cable internet which was a lot more convenient. But still you had to be patient, I remember there was one guy who could upload with around 100 Kb/s, but more often you had to go at maybe 10 or 20 Kb/s. don't want to glorify the past too much, but yeah, you really had to make some efforts to get your recordings, even in the early days of internet.. now it's all fastfood, u2start is just like McDonalds
Never was a big fan of the Tel Aviv recording.. haven't heard that one in ages, maybe I should check out your version to change my opinion on that one. Which show is currently on top in the poll?

That's indeed the FTP one I remember: bloodredskyhub
Before that I only traded and bought...

I have no idea of the current standings, but this morning the guys told me that Tel Aviv was on top...

ok, then I'll skip that one for now and try to tune in when it's being streamed. Yes, even slow internet and a limited number of shows was already an upgrade from trading and buying! Over the whole of U2's carreer there was such a massive developement in technology among all the other developements. Let's see what is next..
