I'm also surprised that there was a Cairo show planned...

it was actually Giza (Cairo area), it was also listed on the Dutch TV Rotterdam broadcast. Shame it didn't happen.
  4. Certainly going to download it. I listened to the whole show this evening (on the mixlr showreel) and this is really one of their best shows/recordings ever. It's just Zoo TV/Lovetown level, they are totally nailing it. Ok, maybe a few small errors, but not lazy errors.. that just happens when you're going full throttle Don't know how this slipped under my radar for so long.

I agree. Popmart only worked when the band took the show and their performance serious. Tel Aviv was super serious to them.

Yes, Popmart Dublin 2 was also taken very serious in light of the tragic accident with Princes Diana. At times like those, it mattered most to be just U2 and play there hearts out. Would certainly be interesting.

The only problem is that there is not really a great recording of Dublin 2... Maybe the best audio comes from the video, at least to my ears that one has got the most potential.

well, maybe it's just a bit of nostalgia. I used to watch this on an old VHS, I think I didn't see it for maybe 15 or 20 years until yesterday. With 8ungOne's enhanced audio version it was a real pleasure to watch. Nice angle and stable shot. No need to put it on top of the list for the next liveshows, but it might be one to keep in the back of your mind
