1. Why don’t we shut down the entire global economy for all of these deaths?

What about the common flu yearly?

    It’s absolutely a sketch.

    I don’t wear a mask lol
  3. I didn't know cardiovascular disease and suicide was very contagious and we don't have immunity against them.
  4. Perhaps this thread should just be left for a bit.... or at least dragged back to just kinda describing how things are in our own places (like the thread topic actually says....)
  5. Closing this thread for a day or two. Let's get back when we can talk about the covid situation.
  6. I think today I hit a wall. I am so sick of hearing about and thinking about coronavirus all day, everyday. It's just been 3-4 months of CONSTANT bad news. It's like even when everything feels okay, there's just this permanent terrible thing in the back of my mind.

I have deleted facebook, and that has helped me a lot. I don't watch the news anymore. I don't read the news, but I do see the headlines online. Cases spiking again here, there and everywhere. How it relates to Trump. How many people have died every single day. I just can't do it anymore. It's really starting to affect my fucking mental health, knowing that shit is just bad all the time. I'm just going to keep living my life, and following the proper safety measures. I wear a mask when I need to, I have no problem with continuing to do so. But damn, I just can't deal with this anymore.

Same here. Live in Canada and we are starting to reopen but I have not watched any American news and have 'unfriended' family who live in America who support Trump. I'm disgusted at how politicalized it has become. It's a disease. It doesn't matter if you are a Republican or a Democrat. If you wear a mask you are not a p$%&y. If you wear a mask you are not a radical left wingest. You are protecting yourself and the health of others.

Daughter's birthday today and we had a small 'social distanced' birthday party for her. Under 10 people and everyone separated by 6 feet.

Is there going to be an end?
  8. Twitter is insane.
  9. It really is surreal what is going on. I am an EMT and work in hospitals daily. I know people who have died and been permanently disabled by the virus. It's a constant stress that the world doesn't need.
