1. Window in the skies should get a look live again. U2 sounding like u2, would suit Bono's voice and current global themes
  2. With Bono's vertigo spiel before One, I'm surprised crumbs from your table wasn't a nightly staple of the whole tour with the whole where you live line

It doesn’t speak much to the strength of the song when Bono would rather deliver a lyric in a speech than sing the song to portray its message.

The same with Walk On in 2009. Here is a song specifically written about this person and this issue but here is her image on the big screen, this is her name and here are thirty thousand masks of her face. Let the songs do the work man.
  4. Do you think they exaggerate the USA connection to The Joshua Tree?
  5. I don't think they exaggerated that in 1987. Bono was fresh from his trip to El Salvador, Reagan's policy with Latin America as his "backyard" was on full throttle, etc.
I think they exaggerate with this "The Joshua Tree is still relevant after 30/32/33 years so we have to play these songs again and again and again..." easy cop out they keep saying to revive a tour.
  6. Watching an old 1987 tour of Ireland bike race. The commentary cuts with one rider out on his own and the audio switches to Exit. Quality.

  7. The odd one was Little things. Never played on EI tour yet it made the cut.
  8. I imagine a song like Walk On will probably never see the light of day in a live performance again after the whole Aung San Suu Kyi thing a couple of years back?

Maybe the Aung San Suu Kyi thing is the perfect reason to play the song again and sort of reclaim it. The song can take on many meanings than just being about her. Also the band were still absolutely right to support her when they did, she should never have been under house arrest.

I hope so. A much overrated song
  11. Walk on is the best song on (weak) ATYCLB - if I don't count Ground Beneath Her Feet, which is bonus track, but not on my version and I take it as soundtrack thing. In the other way that would be best song from ATYCLB

I think Bono gave a new meaning to the song
