1. I still can’t get over that it feels like yesterday we celebrated the Joshua tree being 20 years old in 2007 and this album was only 7 at the time. Man, time goes by fast

I think if it was 1 disc that would the limit at 14 tracks obviously depends on what tracks and how they edit it as well. But I’m hearing now the live tracks won’t fit into 1 disc and it’s from an elevation tour show so a good chance we’re getting a full show over 2 discs. I’m trying to think what other elevation shows would really stand out to the band. I can’t see it being slane as they released that with the fanclub and they don’t repeat fanclub releases in the same format ie cd. Boston is possible but I think they’ll go for something different. South bend I’ve been mentioning because of the webcast, then New York is bound to standout given what it meant post 9/11. I don’t know if the band have mentioned any other shows from the tour that could make them possibilities but I really think it’s down to south bend or a show from New York. New York would be my preferred.
  3. Two decades and half a career ago in terms of album releases. Seems like only a few years back
  4. I’m hoping they release the full Irving plaza show or one of the New York shows from after 9/11
  5. Maybe a New York show on video and Irving plaza on audio
  6. Those October shows at MSG were insane.
  7. I'm hoping for a time machine to actually go back to that era. Not getting excited for re-releases, I hope there's nothing special so I can keep the money I think in the past 10 years I've only bought Songs Of Innocence and Experience (as a combo with the Experience release).
  8. It’s nice to see some love for this album by our members. Although it’s not in my personal top 5, I think it’s solid and gets unfairly pooped on a lot around here. I suppose there are some grievances that Beautiful Day and Elevation never/rarely get a break from the live shows but the album has other great tunes and was a BIG deal in 2000/2001. Awesome tour, as well.

Right or wrong, I associate this album with 911 and it would indeed make sense to have some sort of connection between the reissue and shows dedicated to the attacks. I guess the only question would be if they’d release another MSG show with a reissue (as they did with the JT 30th anniversary release).

I was thinking that myself with the MSG JT show but they have released 2 shows from Paris so that hopefully means New York wouldn’t be written off.
