Also, although unrelated, it has striked me how fast they started the song (at 150 bpms) and how slow it was around the 2 minute mark (138 bpm). I thought Larry was using a metronome by then, but it seems not!
I’ve noticed this with IWF all the way up thru the Vertigo Tour where he’s 100% using a click. I think he just comes out of the gate extra strong on that song and has to correct himself a bit.

I didn’t even notice that till you mentioned the speed
  3. Chicago 2005, the beginning. Larry is too early in the start with the cimbals. You can compare with any other Vertigo show :-p

However, I’ve never once noticed how egregious these editing mistakes are. In fact, two of my favorite moments of the Boston DVD entirely are a brief shot of Edge going absolutely apeshit on the les paul toward the end of the song, and Bono’s timed splat against the screen to end the song. Never noticed Larry either.

So is it necessary? Probably not. But worth it? I’ve gone 20 years enjoying those moments more than most of the rest of the show, so you tell me!

To be honest yeah, I had no issue with this video until one time I probably watched it a bit too much, too closely, and started noticing the mistakes... And now it's ruined for me. But it's not thta bad when many won't notice I guess !
  5. For me this thread is nothing but the nth confirmation that Sydney 93 is the best thing this band has+will ever pull out in terms of live releases.

That’s the worst one of them all, they used a different bass player than the night prior!

  8. A different form of continuity error but one I’ll include all the same.

Taken from an atU2 review of the Boston DVD published in 2001:

If you look closely though at the photographs in the accompanying DVD booklet, you'll find a picture of Bono in a camouflage hat lying on top of a monitor of a dancer -- which happened during "Mysterious Ways."
