2001-06-05 - Boston
Tour: Elevation Tour
Songs played: 22
Audio recordings: 2
  1. For those who have seen the Boston HD upgrade that surfaced on YouTube back in July, would you say that it is the same upgrade as the U2.com one? Worse? Better? Or are all three the same quality as the DVD?
  2. You can tell the band was incredible tight and full of confidence on the elevation tour. They stepped outside the box in the 90s but when they returned too their roots, they were more comfortable and proud of their new material, which was ATYCLB at the time.

    Adam's hair was remastered?

At least we know they have an upgraded copy. I wonder if they will release it?

That's because they had that exceptionally boring and tedious personality known as Jo Whiley interacting with them. Obsequiously sycophantic person.
Love him or hate him but Noel Gallagher would have been highly entertaining to have had steering that interview.

    They seem to like her.

    Oh God yes.
  8. Of course they do. They know what they are getting that's why. She has fronted a good few interviews with the band over the years and it's the same sycophantic bile every time. Put Gallagher in place of her and you don't know what you'd get as he goes right off script.
But then again they don't want that as it's not pre-sanctioned or remotely 'safe'.

  9. It totally does, and they gapped it as well on the vinyl and the Spotify streams...
  10. It makes me annoyed that they feel the need to rewrite their own history. Everyone knows what word he is saying but of course we have the Black Lives Matter movement and it would not fit contemporary narratives for this release to reflect history!
    All Lives Matter!
    Black Lives Matter!!
    Your Life Matters!!!
  11. There are people on this site who kindly share their recordings freely and clearly have the knowledge to edit sound.

Would it not sound far better to hear an edit of the word 'trigger'??

'Pull the trigger on the rock and roll trigger'

I am sure it would sound far better than a gap?

I would love to have the knowledge on how to action this just out of curiosity to actually hear how it would sound in the flow of the song. To the untrained ear I should imagine a listener without prior knowledge would never know.

Dave fanning did a good interview with them on 2fm yesterday and his questions were spontaneous and interesting he always knows how to get the best out of them as he is a straight shooter and knows more about them than most.
