Yeah, I think changing the key really stepped it up..same with EBTTRT
  2. I think the whole album is great in the love setting.

I just imagine it in Austin Powers rotating heart shape bed. Love indeed.

The album version is tremendous. Every band member's part equally brings something to peak your intrigue. But as you correctly say, "much more subdued and quiet". Couldn't be any more true.
  4. Agree that the album version is great, but I like the higher pitch of the live version as well.

I tried a mix once of the album version in the live tuning/pitch (without vocals), sounded interesting

  5. A day late but surprised it wasn't mentioned round here.
  6. I'm sure it's been mentioned somewhere, but on the 25th anniversary edition, which songs have Bono 2011 vocals on them (if that's the right phrase)

The ones that I've picked up on are Blow Your House Down, Heaven and Hell, Oh Berlin and 'Baby' Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World. Am I missing anymore?
  7. Damn, Until The End Of The World is such an amazing song. One of their best live songs imo.
  8. YES. It's funny how much it improves over the album version (which is very good to begin with!).
  9. Became a different song live and the extended outro on the innocence and experience tour was killer.
  10. That outro was worth the entry fee alone.
  11. A random comment that sounds horrible to say, but I never listened to Achtung Baby growing up, (I have no idea why, but curse who/whatever made me ignore it)

But, in more of the last year or so I have been listening often - & WOW I cannot believe everything I have been missing. Easily one of my favorite albums of all time now!

My dad went to two shows on the Zootv tour and still to this day talks and laughs at the reactions people had while walking out of the arena. Sounds like every single person, U2 fan or not, was simply blown away by those shows and those songs. For sure one of the moments I most wish I could've been a part of!!!!
