All songs, except NLOTH became beasts live.
  2. I thought NLOTH was one of the better ones from the album live except the one off acoustic version which was a disaster, boots was poor both live and on the album, I’ll go crazy remix was poor, and I thought unknown caller was fine live but not better than the album. Breathe, magnificent and moment of surrender were all great live but great on the album as well.
  3. Nonsense, NLOTH was the best one they performed live from that album.

I think if this had been the lead single, people would have noticed the album. It's a quintessential U2 song that people would go "oh, that's U2", and I'm sure it would have garnered some following. Heck, Vertigo I think made it because of that same reason - imagine they'd lead with LAPOE?

Not sure,I think U2 2000-2006 were a far more popular act than the 360 era, yeah they were still huge but the turn of the millennium was like a reboot for the band,SYCMIOYO isn't a number 1 song yet that's where it ended up,their popularity with the general public was mega.
The ambient nature of many NLOTH tracks did them no favours keeping them relevant plus they were suddenly a group of guys in their fifties.
Think music left them behind a bit in that 3 year gap.

I think that their desire for popularity is really all that they can't leave behind

LAPOE is the best song on album but no doubt it has no charts/mainstream radio potential...
But Crazy album version is very cheesy but very boring (same type of song like Stuck or California... )
  9. LOL right you are

LAPOE is good, but Original of the Species is better
