1. I begin to listen to 15/05/1987 soundboard . easier for me to appreciate or not with such a sound
  2. Oh I didn't know he did that. Thanks!
  3. Lol I also made that same mistake @UnderARedSky
  4. I've submitted my review

  5. Infact it kills the surprise ... I realise I would prefer lots o people just put a rate 1 to 5 stars, giving an accurate average rate which could motive to take a listen or not . But reading all what happens in the show is like spoiling . If you read "nothing special happens in this show but it's a good one" ... is not the best inspiration lol ...
  6. I’d recommend not reading full reviews until you have posted your own.
  7. yes, very high-level things being figured out in this thread indeed

    1. threads that are created for group discussion die quickly when people are content with watching the same couple people throw shit at the wall to see what sticks

    2. a comprehensive review of a performance will likely reveal some of its secrets!
  8. It’s a near 30 year recording, I think we’re past spoilers.

So Matt, you mentioned Hear Us Coming. I wasn’t sure if this was early enough in the tour for it to still not be figured out. I’m sure somewhere in the back of my head, the gig at Charlotte was the first incarnation of it, a very rough idea from Bono. I haven’t listened to it yet but I’m surprised that he still hadn’t got it down a month later.

Of course, I may have my dates way off and Charlotte stands out for some other reason but I do remember listening to quite a few shows back to back some years ago to hear it evolve. Is it the only snippet that didn’t just appear and fit right in, it had to be persevered with?

Edit: Just checked YouTube, it is there at Charlotte so I do think it is the first attempt. Judging by the sound, I’m not sure what else it could stand out for.

I seem to recall U2gigs had quite the tracking of the development of Hear Me Coming throughout March. I think it was either Montreal or Toronto where he first sung what would become the "definitive version" of the Hear Us Coming snippet (all previous attempts were early incarnations with varying lyrics or melody), but then he went back to Bongolesing for a few more shows before institutionalizing it for the remainder of the tour.
  10. Listening to it now now, what’s going on with The Fly?! Sounds...really off, timings and all. Ugh, Edge, blown a chance at redemption in the solo.
