1. I always find it strange after listening to so many live versions then going back to the original JT recording. I'm always surprised not to hear that guitar part after "The city's a flood"...

The version where it looks like Bono is on some sort of amphetamine.
  3. Maybe it’s a basic pick but I still gotta give it up for the Slane performance. The All I Want is You segue with Bono’s haunting vocal, Edge’s perfect guitar tone throughout - etc. Bono’s vocal isn’t the strongest on it, but it’s still so good. It’s just such a joyous performance.
  4. To quote Bono ‘eighphphlhlh I LIKE IT!!’
  5. would love to know which shows in particular were u2's most drugged out performances; im sure certain members had a few wild nights on zootv

Hahaha! Pretty sure Adam was pretty much doped all throughout the tour, and I could select quite a few nights where I'd swear Bono had "taken a slice of the pizza", using his own words.
  7. I like the bit where Bono magically has a hat on.

But yea that’s 1980 energy levels with 1987 vocals. The man is absolutely wired. Pure bliss

Definitely some moments on ZooTV when they were, as I would put it, 'chinged out their nut'.
  9. Been saying so for years, but gotta re-read At the End of the World, sure theres some insight there
