1. Hey, my name's Elliot. I'm 24 years old, living in Vancouver. I've been a big U2 fan since the age of 11 when I found The Joshua Tree on my Dad's CD rack and was taken by how cool these guys standing in the desert looked in the sleeve. Hearing "Where the Streets Have No Name" for the first time sealed the deal.

I've unfortunately only seen them live once, but it was an excellent show - the 360 tour in Edmonton.

These days, War is my favourite album of theirs - noisy and vital, never letting up the forward momentum, while somehow also being full of compelling, wintry atmospheres. Managed to get my hands on a vinyl copy a couple of years ago, and I just love blasting it and being engulfed by it all.

Looking forward to chatting with you all!
  2. Hi Elliot!
  3. Hi Elloit and welcome on board
  4. Push the button and pull the plug, say goodbye Hey there Elliot, nice to have you around. Genuinely getting into U2 by discovering and listening to Streets by yourself is as authentic as it gets
  5. Hi Elliot, welcome here and you live in really beautiful place. I spent there long time (twice) and during 360 too (went for Seattle show, it's closer than Edmonton ).
    Hope you'll have fun here
  6. Hi and welcome Elliot. Spent a week exploring your beautiful city when I went to see the first night of The Joshua Tree 30th anniversary tour. Great to have you here to share your U2 thoughts with other similarly dedicated fans.

I've actually never been to Seattle myself but I've heard good things from friends of mine that are from there. I was living in Calgary at the time I went to the Edmonton show so it was a little closer at the time

Ah, nice. Find any good seafood places? I was sad to have missed the JT Anniversary Tour, was just a bit steep price-wise for me at the time.

Seattle is okay, the music athmosphere is there in every corner, but city itself not really special. Vancouver is different story (spent there 15 months in 2011/2012 and 8 months in 2015/2016). I consider it as my second home
Haven't seen much of Calgary, just went through city on our way to Rockies (flight from Van to Calgary and then bus to Banff).
  10. El-io-ott!

I'm sure you have heard that ET reference too many times. Welcome to U2START and now you can be our 'boots on the ground' during rehersals for upcoming tours. I was in your city for the first time at the EI opening. I really enjoyed it and like it as much as U2 do. I'm an Ontario guy. Whoops, did l just say 'Boots'?
  11. Hi Elliot, hello from Uruguay!
