1. This album is very relevant to me right now. I feel like with everything that's going on with in the US, October's themes of spirituality, changing the world, self-reflection, and anger really reflect the current social climate.
  2. It's funny that October has 6 fantastic songs in it and it's still at the bottom of most of the fans' album ranks.
  3. There’s only 4 standouts on the album for me, Gloria, October, I Fall Down and With A Shout. A couple of poor songs and the rest I wouldn’t go any further than calling ok. It’s still the only u2 album where I think there is less good/great than there is poor/average songs.
  4. It’s all to easy to pick on October. Very underrated.
  5. Can we just have an October 40th Anniversary tour instead of Zoo TV?
  6. Auckland2 ticket sales guaranteed elsewhere
  7. There are only 31 days in October.
  8. Canadian humour?

  9. This might have been said before, but it's worth saying again. Tomorrow is one of U2's greatest ever songs, it really is something special. The song starts out as a hauntingly beautiful ballad before erupting into a rousing, high energy rock song. As a big fan of traditional Irish music too, this song has always stood out to me for its use of the Uilleann pipes. The pipes fit the mood of the song so perfectly.

Although Tomorrow is the standout track on October for me, I also love Gloria, I Fall Down, Rejoice, October and With a Shout. The other songs on the album are by no means bad songs either. I love the energy of the album overall and it's filled with such memorable melodies. Whenever I listen to this album, I thoroughly enjoy it.

Yup, Tomorrow is a standout track. Here is the remix (official) in case you never heard it. Up there with Seconds and Surrender as tracks needed to be brought back live.
