1. He already had it in 1981:

  2. And even earlier, Spring 81:

  3. Great detective work. It so often that we see Edge's early guitars as Explorer only.
  4. I dont really like the way Les Paul plays, my second guitar was a fake Les Paul bij “Vintage”, really heavy and I didn’t like the way the neck and frets felt. So my dad is going to sell that one, I prefer the feeling of a Tele, but I will buy a real Les Paul someday, its a must have in a guitar collection, and a real one must feel better than the fake one.

  5. I have a 2006 USA Tele and I have really grown into it. Our bond has grown over time. I also own a 2005 SG Gibson Special Faded

I’m a nerd and wanted to see how many songs Edge used a Les Paul for across tours. These are based off official releases, obviously set list changes can affect the number of times a Les Paul is used, but definitely used more for 90s heavy set lists.

    JT87 Paris: 2 times
    ZooTV Sydney: 10 Times
    Popmart Mexico City: 8 times
Elevation Tour (Boston and Slane): 7 times
    Vertigo Tour (Chicago): 4 Times
360 Rose Bowl: 4 times. 5 in 2010 with the addition of HMTMKMKM.
    IE Paris: 4 Times
    JT17: 3 Times
    EI Berlin: 9 Times
    JT19: 3 Times
  7. A line graph would have been amazing but thanks for sharing!

    Haha, nice!

JT Paris... Only two? Exit and In God's Country, I guess... Wow, I would have said 4 or 5 at least.

Elevation Tour ahead of 360, that's unexpected as well.

I once tried to track and write down the changes that most of their setlist staples have gone through in terms of guitar they're played on, tuning, BPMs, etc. But it was way too much work for something so useless
  10. On a different note, I just pulled the trigger on a Harley Benton HB-35 Plus in Lemon Drop finish which I have been longing for a long time. Stangely enough for someone that's had around 100 different guitars, this will be my first ES-335 (kinda, lol).

  11. Very cool looking guitar there!
  12. What model is Bono''s 'I Feel Good' guitar?
