1. It’d be nice to get something for the 40th anniversary of October. Not their best album but still an important one that contains some classics. Of course, jazz it up with a cleaned up, full show from 1982 and we’re off to the races.

  2. Yeah, that's a nice alternative take on the song. And I agree, I'd love to see Tomorrow played again live. It would be perfect for shifting the momentum of the live set as, at the start, it captures the ballad-like emotion of many of U2's softer songs while later developing into a more straight-forward rocker. The only issue would be the matter of incorporating the Uilleann pipe part. I know Edge played the part on a tin whistle on most of the previous live performances, while Steve Wickham played it on the fiddle for a few others. I think Vinnie Kilduff himself actually played the Uilleann pipes for Tomorrow's live debut (as you can see in my avatar pic, by the way). I think the U2 of today would probably just play it in as a backing track though, or maybe they'd change the song's arrangement to do away with it all together. As much as I'd love to see it played live again, I can't really see it happening but you never know. U2 have surprised us a few times before.

Also, I agree with you about Seconds and Surrender, they should also be played again live.
  3. I had never paid too much attention to Stranger In A Strange Land but I'm starting to dig it a lot more lately. It has a certain TUF vibe to it, it's so strange (no pun intended)!

Probably one of my favourites off the album, and like TUF songs, the lyrics in this create a sketch. It's quite cinematic.
  5. Yes, exactly. Nice to see you dig it!
  6. A quality album except Fire.

  7. Good to see October getting some attention yesterday.
  8. 2 x albums, now to be known as Oddtober with such quality tracks as: I Took A Bet At The Window, Stranger Betting Odds In A Strange Land and Is That All Your Odds?

Haha yeah. I love that they used Bet A Shout's riff for The Bet, that little intro they used to play before The Betting Co.
