1. The full flac audio is on DIME/Jungleland too.
  2. So you took the lead and released it to Youtube yourself this time? Nice! It sounds truly awesome, especially considering the age of these recordings. How different is working with Bruce IEMs as opposed to U2 IEMs? I suppose they don't use a click-track, or at least much less prominent and intrusive than U2's so my guess is they must be easier to mix?
  3. For anyone interested, here's the "wet mix" (aka more audience in the mix ):

Harder, for sure. Ignoring the fact all these feeds were recorded onto DAT, so lots more time alignment to be done. But there are more players on-stage for Springsteen, and not everybody uses IEMs. So you have to get creative with extractions, balancing for solos, etc.

Edge is basically the conductor of the U2 show, and his feed reflects it. It has pretty much everything in the mix, just needs a boost on the other guys in the band to fill it out. But I rarely focus on "need to boost XYZ for the solo" like I have to do with Springsteen.

That's very interesting. I didn't know some members of the band don't use IEMs but I was guessing that could be the case when I saw the big wedge monitors around the stage. Extracting and balacing for solos and quieter parts, well that's a different story - true craftsmanship and dedication there. Hats off.
