1. Well it’s a year later than planned, but we’re just two weeks away now until the European Championships kick off with Turkey vs. Italy in Rome.

Group A: Turkey, Italy, Wales, Switzerland
Group B: Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Russia
Group C: Netherlands, Ukraine, Austria, North Macedonia
Group D: England, Croatia, Scotland, Czech Republic
Group E: Spain, Sweden, Poland, Slovakia
Group F: Hungary, Portugal, France, Germany
  2. Italy and Spain have the easiest groups I think. Group F is going to be mayhem, and Group D is going to be interesting too.
    I don't think I'll watch a single match though
  3. Ah, it's been a while since I've had 3 Lions on full blast with an unrealistic expectation of us winning a major international tournament, to only get knocked out in the last 16. Can't wait.

I think Holland have got quite a favourable group. Haven’t looked at how the draw could unfold after the groups but I think they’d give most teams a game. If I had to put my life on who wins though I’d go France but tough group and never underestimate Germany.
  5. I am rooting for Netherlands & Belgium.
  6. I just saw Group F for the first time, what the hell were they thinking putting those 3 together !!
  7. France, Germany and Portugal could all potentially qualify from that group though. 2 teams from each group plus the 4 best 3rd place teams, more teams going through than out after the group stages so quite a bit of margin for error.
  8. Ohhhh forgot it was like that, figured only 2 made it out. Just hope we see those 3 advance
  9. It’s Belgium’s to lose. And on the back of that momentum the World Cup in 2022 should be safe.England? Naaah. This country expectations are too high.Anything less than a last 4 though, then the usual rhetoric can begin for another 12 months.

Belgium are a good side but I think they’ve missed their chance. A few players past their peak now still a high level but just on the way down rather than on the way up. Not the whole team though, Lukaku and De Bruyne are cracking players that have had good seasons but Hazard has went missing for Madrid and a lot of the big name defenders are all past it. I would pick France over them, maybe even Germany with the experience at big tournaments. I wouldn’t write off a few of the other tournament favourites against them either.
  11. Busquets has tested positive for covid. This will probably affect Spain's chances of having a good start to the championship, and it might affect Portugal as well if he passed it on to any of the Portuguese players... Let's see.
  12. Can't wait for this! Last time we attended a Euro/World Cup was back in 2014, so I'm very excited!
