  4. I can’t stand it as an opener. It’s so draggy at the start. From intro to chorus is just way too long to be lively.

  6. The Miracle was worse imo. The Blackout was meh but the buildup with the Chaplin video was superb (and LOUD!).
  7. Blackout is decent song - bette than half of the album... but not as intro. LIAWHL was way better. Not a fan of Miracle too...
  8. The build up combined with the song made the blackout the best opener I’ve witnessed in person but I feel like I’ve missed all their best openers. Breathe was probably my 2nd favourite and I didn’t think that was a good opener just a great song.

  10. Blackout & Chaplin Intro was outstanding opener. Best I've seen live, since Vertigo Tour (including it)
  11. Having seen that live up close, The Blackout was a fantastic opening song, the lull between verse and chorus was a great tension builder before the reveal of the band. Credit due to the band this far into their career to still come up with an original show opener like that.
  12. There's a lot to say about the weakness of SOE and/or the tour, but Blackout is one of the very few highlights on SOE and a good show opener.
