Start at 01:27:15 and listen to Bono wail on the "Nothing to win and nothing left to lose" line

You've brought this up in the past and I don't even need to play the video - I can listen to it in my head already. Fantastic delivery there Your dad was in attendance that night, right?
  2. That's right
  3. This one has some relly impressing falsettos

In most of them it was pretty strained (it's a really really high note after all) but in Vancouver it was like the most potent and perfect roar you can imagine.

Man, they really were at the top of their game back then.

He was really going all out in Vancouver. He usually did the first round of "don't turn around" in falsetto and then the second one in full voice (sometimes both in falsetto), but in Vancouver he went full voice from the beggining. You can tell he kinda doubts during the first verse but then he thinks, fuck it, I'm gonna deliver.

Vancouver is such a great show top to bottom
  6. YES. We often overlook April 92 because March was full of improvs and funny moments, but man they were at full throttle in April, and specially in Vancouver where they didn't have any show for like 2 weeks and Bono went all in.

I didn’t realize there was such a break but yes a fantastic show with so many highlights, love the WOWY too. Maybe best vocals of the tour?

Outside Broadcast was another great show when it came to the vocals

It's up there no doubt. I'd struggle to find an overall better show (vocally, that is). Bono is at 120% from Zoo Station to Love Is Blindness. And WOWY is fantastic, of course, with the God Part II snippet! Incredible show.

  11. Could this be Bono's worst vocal studio take ever? I'm struggling to think of a worse one but only Party Girl comes to mind, and even then I'd forgive him since they recorded that in an absolute hurry and were so young back then. Recording, approving, mixing and releasing this vocal take in your 60s and after 45 years in this business is a joke.

  12. I’ve said it a million times now but he no longer has that raw power and talent to mask his lack of technical ability. I genuinely believe he needs to take singing lessons. Back to basics with breathing and knowing your range then working on it from there.
