1. Out of Control is up there with Streets and Bad as one of thee best live songs in the bands armoury.
  2. Agreed. Maybe the highlight for me seeing them in Chicago in 2011.

Love the refrain lyrics: "You've got spirit / We've got soul / We've got some big ideas / We're out of control." Does anyone know when Bono started singing the song that way? Such a classic example of why live U2 > studio U2.

    Around Elevation tour
  4. If U2 were to do a one off show (one night only) at a venue like Knebworth or Slane today, what would the attendance be? Would they sell out?

One night they would sell out yeah I think so. Comparing to Liam G I don’t think u2 are as popular as oasis in the uk and I think for big one off shows Liam G is capable of outselling u2. Slane though u2 could sell as well as anyone in the world without a doubt.
  6. U2 are not as popular in the UK as they are in the rest of Europe. Probably more in line with their popularity and ticket selling ability in the US.

They could certainly sell out one show at Knebworth, but not 2. I wouldn’t want them to anyway. I prefer to see U2 and any other band in a stadium/arena vs a flat field. Hence why I don’t go to festivals.
  7. U2 could sell out Slane all week long.
  8. Bad was still a ten minute song in 2005. Like it should be.

They could sell out five Slane Castles or Croke Parks no problem. They're big in Ireland but even bigger outside. A 20% of the crowd would come from Ireland and 80% from abroad, just like has been happening since 2005 lol
  10. Here’s my sort of prediction if you like or maybe even a summary of things to an extent. There’s a lot of things being done/completed at the end of this year beginning of next. The video remasters will be done soon, the new song on sing 2 will be out, the AB anniversary stuff will be done and the fan club item announced probably in the next few months as well. All that leaves a bit of a gap at the beginning of next year up until maybe the summer when Heartland is rumoured to hit cinema’s. I think all that sets up a big opening at the end of next year for a new album release. They’ll have looked back at a lot of the past and won’t really have any anniversaries to celebrate at that point either, it will be a sort of reset.

They could do a Best of 1990-2000 aniversary 😜
  12. I think they should use this whole Covid break for housekeeping. Remaster video, make a compilations, Release JT DVD then hit the ground running when it is over.
