1. The main question. Anything can be sold out if you only intended to sell x amount of tickets.
  2. 160k have been sold. The Red Hot Chili Peppers sold 80k in 2012 so maybe 80k is the maximum for a show there now with health and safety. He wouldn’t have put a 2nd date on anyway if they couldn’t sell out one night. There was queues into the tens of thousands well into the sale today. He’s sold 160k tickets and probably could have sold a good bit more.

And I guarantee you come show time there will be no problem getting tickets (even on the day) for those who want them...seen it consistently at "sold out" gigs here in the UK the last 10 years. Touts desperate to offload them at face or below face even walking up to gigs on the day

I’m sure you’re right. I’d definitely encourage people not to pay over the odds anyway. Unless you’re seeing an artist or band around their commercial peak in a small(ish) venue it generally is possible to get tickets for any gig for face value or less.
  5. If I’m being honest I never seen that coming, selling out both nights, I’m not denying Liam’s popularity but where would he be without the oasis back catalogue, because let’s face it his solo material doesn’t even come close to matching it but if people want to pay to see an oasis tribute act then good on them, as for kasabian, without Tom they will be terrible

Without the oasis back catalogue he wouldn’t be selling out knebworth 1night never mind 2. But even though pretty much all the classics were written by Noel, Liam was the singer and performer in the band and brings that with him into his solo shows. Noel G is a great song writer but he’s not really a better player than the guys Liam has on stage with him so even though there is technically something missing you aren’t really noticing it. The songs will sound musically as good as ever and be performed by the original lead singer. I don’t agree either that Kasabian will be Terrible. Don’t get me wrong I don’t think they’ll be as good as they were when Tom was there but they’re doing the right thing going forward without him, I wouldn’t be going if he was still the lead singer, and the songs will still be good for a festival like atmosphere, plus Serge can put on a bit of a performance so maybe not great but still good, certainly not terrible.

Id say its half of oasis preforming oasis songs....not so much a tribute act.
