can you remind me where this was from/on?
  2. Radio 1 interview with Jo Whiley in early 2004 in Dublin for the HTDAAB release if I recall.

Accurately sums up my perspective on Coldplay. I like quite a bit of the Oldplay stuff as you called it, and enjoyed seeing them live in 2012 but the newer stuff never really grabs my attention or entices me to persist.
  5. ah yes. thanks for posting.
Totally said as a joke. too bad lol
  6. Tomorrow at 1pm BST they will probably announce World Tour.

Not much expectations, apart from the People of the Pride!
Go find Prosieben in Concert from Berlin from few days ago ahead of new record.

Eh, I thought they said they didn't plan to tour due to environmental reasons?

Ghost Stories was interesting but other than that its been pop crossover shite!

I mostly agree, although I really connected with the "Everyday Life" album. It had a certain disjointed, side project feel to it that reminded me of the headspace U2 were in when they made Passengers.

I've been a Coldplay fan since 2000/2001, when I first heard "Yellow" and bought Parachutes. Watching their rise was amazing. But yeah, peaked with Viva. Did not like "Mylo Xyloto" that well, hated "Headfull of dreams", and this new album doesn't sound promising to me. They have just veered off in a direction I don't care to follow.

I always wonder if this is how U2 fans from the 80's felt when they heard Zooropa or Pop? I became a U2 fan between Zooropa and Pop, and HMTMKMKM was what first drew 13 year old me to U2. So I absorbed U2's catalog 1980-1995 at once. I wonder what it was like to watch that all unfold in real time.
