1. Hello friends,back again on my favorite U2 forum……some news from u2.com/mess
As told before you all know what happened….
It looked like the problem was solved….then I received an email telling that the Apollo cd was on its way ( damn!)
So I wrote back telling them i had asked for the Berlin DVD…..
    And they have answered
  2. Im getting mad
At the end of it all I think I will be receiving the Litographs….
  3. My Apollo live subscriber gift to Greece was shipped August 12 and arrived Oct 19 and I had to pay 5.37 Euros additional tax because there is written a total price of 10$ on the package.

I contacted U2.com and complained about the huge delays and the additional tax that o European has to pay and asked them that since they post from US to label it as gift from now on.

From the replies I got I suppose that the don't care at all....

Many countries will not allow a corporation to label an item as a gift. And some will return the items if it is done. The way around this for a number of years was to label an item with a low value, which still works for many countries. Unfortunately in Europe, the old exclusion that if under 22 EURO no taxes and fees would be collected was removed in July.

So I think it is time for them to consider launching a fulfillment center in EU. Even the U2 European shop is in UK.
  6. I'd still be satisfied with new music.

I’d love one for Canada too.
  8. Here’s my suggestion for the fan club which I put in Zootopia. Charge the same £30 renewal ($40)/ £40 subscriber ($50) to receive digital only products. However not just 1 concert like last year. Next year for example zoo tv 30th anniversary give us Stockholm 92 to download in HD and stream, Dublin 93 to download in audio and a full concert from Yankee stadium either audio or video. Then on the site for the general public make these products available to purchase digitally or physically. The final sweetener for subscribers though would be to allow the 25% discount to be used on these gigs to buy them physically. I reckon £40 would be a fair price without the discount so £30 with the discount. So for £60 in total you can get the usual subscription benefits with the shows to download and you can get the shows physically. This makes the physical part of the fan club optional really and we still get the material.
  9. I wouldn't be amused to pay for a digital only which would be available soon at various websites for free. Discount for the physical release would not be used for a large amount of subscribers. I would use it as i want to own as many physical releases as i can, but it would feel like paying twice for the same thing

Well you would be paying twice for the same thing but you would be receiving 3 gigs for £60 plus all the usual benefits instead of paying £30 for maybe one gig. £30 for 2 more gigs seems good value to me and at least it’s an optional thing then with these new custom charges that I think are going to be an ongoing problem. There would be some fans who are happy just to receive the digital option of all 3 gigs for £30 and not bother with the physical stuff.
  11. Na, they should just keep offering a live show on a double CD as the annual gift and improve the Subscriber Specials. Give us a live song or two per month.
