  1. That goes without saying After all it's U2 and we don't get to see them every Tuesday, it's quite hard not to have a good time.

And although I knew the setlist in advance, it was a more enjoyable show than the N2 show I attended in 2015 (i&e).

    N1 was spectacular, of course.

Yeah the Toronto nights were quite different between them. Glad you could attend both!
  4. 5 years ago today, following weeks of speculation and many false alarms, we finally got an official announcement of a tour to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Joshua Tree. Special significance for me because it led to many firsts - first time seeing them other than in my home city, first time travelling overseas to see a band, witnessing the first night of a tour, hearing an old song being played live for the first time and being there when Little Things was heard for the first time. A memorable show but an equally memorable period of rumours and speculation leading up to the announcement.
  5. thought RHMT and OTH were disappointing though

overall good not great shows - only saved by excitable crowds and exit (wow)
  6. I thought 2019 was more interesting lead-up as there were some very funny loud folks on here swearing on their grandmothers' grave that no U2 shows would be happening down under.

You should have seen my inbox when I started sharing the rumours. Some of the names I was called for "toying with Australians hopes and dreams" were a bit over the top. Especially when they delayed the announcement a couple of times...
  8. I can believe it! Not sure why that struck such a nerve with folks. Not the first time U2 has had dates on the books and then punted...doesn't mean the rumors of tour plans weren't correct in that moment.
  9. Ugh I wish there were tour dates planned right now...

I guess because by that point we'd been waiting 8 years since the last shows here and watched 3 consecutive tours bypass us.
