The band want to release new material and there are still plenty of fans out there who enjoy at least some of their new material each time an album comes out. I still prefer their post 00’s work on the whole to their 80’s. But you think they should stop all that just because you’re not into it?

    100% agree

  4. Perhaps Bono could drive a Delorean back to Live Aid and actually get to finally sing Pride.

  6. More info here: https://www.u2songs.com/news/u2_biopic_series_at_netflix

The U2 show is not expected to air on the streaming service anytime soon, and is indeed a few years away. It is being developed to fill a programming gap on the streaming service when The Crown is finished. It may follow a similar timeline development of that series as well, with each season devoted to roughly a decade of time in U2’s lives. The first season will take them from forming a band, up until the recording of The Joshua Tree, covering the Innocence period. The second series will deal with The Joshua Tree and take the band into the 1990s, or their Experience period. A third season would see them releasing Pop and following the band through the successes of How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. At this time three seasons are being developed, although the contracts leave the option open to expand to additional seasons later.

Each season is expected to cast new actors for main roles in the show as The Crown has for main characters. It’s likely you’ll see different actors playing a young Bono vs an older Bono as the show progresses. The show is expected to be broken into 10 hour seasons, and episodes may vary in length.

JJ Abrams is the executive producer of the project and is working with writer Anthony McCarten on scripts. U2 is involved in the project, and will be consulting on the project.McCarten is the writer of the recent Bohemian Rhapsody movie, looking at the history of Queen.

The Crown is currently set to have two more seasons, so it may be 2024 before we see this series appear at Netflix.
  7. I don’t get worked up about anything I just enjoy debating more than most people.
  8. Your convo about the St. Patrick's version of Ground Beneath Her Feet on Facebook was hilarous to read
  9. The version of the song ruined by Bono’s major timing issues.
  10. Crazy. The only people noticing timing issues are people who know the song inside out. Lovely performance for me and Bono’s vocals are better than any performance he managed throughout 2000/2001.
