1. "The first season will take them from forming a band, up until the recording of The Joshua Tree, covering the Innocence period. The second series will deal with The Joshua Tree and take the band into the 1990s, or their Experience period. A third season would see them releasing Pop and following the band through the successes of How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb. At this time three seasons are being developed, although the contracts leave the option open to expand to additional seasons later."

I'm surprised they're not including 360 in the original series. I suppose it could be added in the 4th season but it's not certain there will be a 4th season, and it's strange to miss out the (used to be) biggest ever tour from a bands biotopic. I wonder if they'll include the terrioist attack when Bono was in the restaurant, the Paris show and the Apple event in S4, along with JT30 and EI.

so it’s not a chronological series but a best to worse things that U2 did, nice
  3. This whole thing is a terrible idea and I hope it never sees the light of day.
  4. why tho, U2 in fact are not into this thing, would you say this to the Bohemian Rhapsody film? I don't think so, why be so negative about this serie?
  5. One episode should be dedicated to how and when Bono stopped calling David Evans "The Edge" and only "Edge" and then added "The" to his pronunciation of "Ukraine".
  6. Lol why? I really don’t get why some of you are against it, of course it’s not going to be 100% accurate but it still will be fun and interesting to watch, I’m very excited about the series.
  7. We should also have a full episode on Edge kicking his guitar during Gone in 2001.
  8. And an episode called: “I slept with her last night.”

A little unfair for me to judge Bohemian Rhapsody as I have always disliked Queen immensely and so the movie probably started in a hole for me, but overall I found the film melodramatic and a bit schlocky. I understand that may be a generally minority opinion.

Mostly I don’t think this kind of docu-drama serves any purpose until there is much more historical perspective - once U2 as a band is dead and gone for 10-20 years then maybe this works, but I have zero interest in seeing a fake U2 pantomiming moments I have largely been witness to in real time. I have zero interest in a dramatic re-enactment of their first rehearsal in a Dublin kitchen. Especially with the band directly involved - it won’t take a truly critical eye to the historical events imo. I see no incremental value in this type of series at this point.
  10. Just don’t watch it if ur not interested
