1. It's probably just work to Larry now.
  2. It would be revealing in the history of U2, but I don't think so
  3. Lol...exactly where should Larry show up ? There is no U2 album/tour.
  4. larry hasn't appeared with the others since forever, I don't see the need for him to have to appear now just because the lyrics of a collaboration of him seems to be addressed to Bono, at this age it's childish to do that, with the years that should they play together and yall think they don't have the confidence to say things to each other? Everyone has said it, the day one of them leave U2, U2 dies. And larry has always been reserved, he said it himself, he only plays drums.

    PLEASE, shut up and rock
Why can't you just shut up and rock

Don't want to hear about your painful past. I don't care anyway.

    Just some A1 lyrics lol
  6. Larry isn’t sending Bono veiled messages through the music of Alice Cooper. He didn’t write the lyrics to that song. What’s he going to do? He agrees to play drums on the album, but when he sees the lyrics he says, “I can’t play to this because you seem to be casting shade on Bono and maybe even U2”? How puerile and awkward would that be? I don’t read anything into it.
  7. LoL. At best the politics line would qualify.
Im pretty sure Larry is man enough to talk to Bono directly.

The song is a dig at the shallowness of society (influencers in oarticular).

Could you draw a longer bow here ? You know zero about current group dynamics or politics. Unless u are one of either Larry Edge Bono or Adam and I am gathering you are not!

Larry being incognito between albums is normal. It's no less or more a 'thing' this time around.

Yes he is those lyrics accurately describe Bono and the way he is generally perceived just shut up about politics and Rock is what a lot of people want from him,why go off and play drums for another band it's not something he normally does and session musicians usually do those sort of things, It's not beyond possibilities that he or Adam are getting bored with been in U2 the gaps between albums Edge over ruling everyone else on how the band should sound the use of multiple producers who tamper with the sound so much that the original ideas and mixes get lost and buried but who knows what's going on behind the scenes it may have just become an open marriage where nobody is tied down.

“Not something he usually does” - but he did the same thing in 1994/95 with Nanci Griffith and Emmylou Harris. They’ve always had the freedom to go work on things outside the band. And he’s long named Alice Cooper a favourite of his all the way back to the ‘70s so if asked why wouldn’t he jump at it?

The band were having a little break in 2016, why wouldn’t he go look at other things to do? He came back to U2 after the Alice Cooper project and did three tours and they’ve put out an album since then.
