How did you like your first Stones concert?

I liked it quite a lot They were the right amount of loose, but the right amount of tight as well. Everything was good. Even Keith played better than usual, lol. Mick is a beast and I just CAN'T fathom how someone who's blowing 80 candles next year can move and act like that. Really enjoyable. Even diehard fans over at IORR reckon they sound tight and the setlist was pretty good.
BUT they're not the biggest/best band in the world, not even close to me. They put on a great show and their catalogue is incredible, for sure, but they lack the emotion of U2 or Queen anthems, the mammoth unpredictable setlists of Bruce Springsteen or Pearl Jam and the musical skills of Muse or Rush, just to name a few. I've been to 348 concerts in my life and the Stones' one wouldn't even rank among the 30 best I've seen.
I'm still grateful for the chance of seeing them, and don't regret going. I got distant seats in the Lucky Dip but a friend -for whom I had bought Lucky Dip tix too- decided to swap their Diamond Pit tickets for my seats, so I went to Diamond Pit B super happy. And when I got there, a friend of mine (and the bass player of my old band) was checking the wristbands that gave access to Pit A, so we ended up pretty close to the action. All for 56€ haha.
