"The lack of emotions" you're talking about - I get what you mean, I sort of feel the same. Jagger is playing a role, I think. He does it incredibly well and I enjoy Stones concerts a lot (will see four this year) and Hyde Park 2013 is among my Top Five concerts of all time. But rarely it is an emotional affair. There are exceptions, e.g. Jagger singing Worried About You in Düsseldorf in 2014 - that felt like coming from the heart.
Very often, Keith's set is the emotional highlight for me at the Stones' shows.
Or, in general, Charlie Watts' performances and his introduction.

I expect to get emotional next Monday in Amsterdam when the intro/ hommage to Charlie starts and then seeing the band, as Charlies death hit me hard last year, also thinking that my days of seeing the Stones live were over.

Honestly, I am glad they continue and will enjoy every minute of the concerts this year, even trying to avoid the toilet break.
Yeah I get it. A lot of people were crying and weeping the other day during the Charlie tribute at the beggining. It's a real shame.

Mick's intro to Sad Sad Sad the other day:

"Este es nuestro primer tour en Europa sin Charlie. Le echamos mucho de menos".
    =
"This is our first tour in Europe without Charlie... We miss him very much".

That was easily the most emotional moment of the show, together with Gimme Shelter with the Ukraine references.
  2. Favorite live release of theirs for me is the some girls concert from Texas, late 70’s
  3. Have you heard El Mocambo? You might like that one as well.
  4. you should translate : Mick is tested covid positiv so concert is canceled...bad luck for the fans and hope that he will get well

    The statement is in english..
  6. Just found out when we were to collect our LDs at the counter. Hope he gets well soon.

Saw some small children crying on Arena Boulevard...
  7. How long before other members of the band/crew have it...?
  8. Yep PEarl Jam had This problem 3-4weeks ago :-/ bummer for the fans … hope they all get well Soon
  9. They need to basically have backup musicians in place so that if anybody other than Mick tests positive the show can still go on. All bands need to do this if they are going to be testing people that much. Otherwise these shows will never get done!

Mick could be cleared to go by the next gig in Bern this Friday, but then Keith could test positive. Or Ronnie. Or the keyboard play etc etc.
  10. Mick probably felt unwell, they're not testing all the time. There is no requirement anymore if no one needs to get tested to enter the venue.
  11. Don’t they have to test everytime they enter a new country?
