1. This is a great song for U2JT !

  2. I Agree , Maybe U2 could do a Johnny Cash hologram image onstage to sing along in the wanderer!!! !
  3. Sorry Evan, but could you please tell me why each one of your posts is accompanied by this Dandelion Market photo? It fascinates me.
  4. Loved this song being part of the intermission during I & E shows. Such a great bridge from the "innocence" to the "experience" portions of the night.

I've always loved the lyrics, too, at least as Bono describes them being inspired by the "Preacher/Teacher" writing the book of Ecclesiastes in the Old Testament, searching for meaning and identity in a "meaningless" landscape. And I love Bono's insistence that the antics of the Zoo TV era were a way to tell this kind of ironic story in the modern age (such great stuff in U2 At the End of the World, in particular).

Could this song make a comeback on JT Tour, maybe paired with ISHFWILF thematically?
  5. Love the super high notes from Edge
  6. No Wanderer at the U2JT shows, but come to think. It would be
a verry good song for the SOE tour, hence the lyrics.
  7. When they first rehearsed the song Edge did a hum underneath and not the 'Wah, Wah" parts. It was actually WAY better. I find the "Wah, Wahs" kind of irritating honestly.

    You’re not the only one...
  9. the wah-wah-wah-wah-wonder by Edge are actually an homage to this song,

  10. The other day, I wondered (no pun intended-- it's like 'wandered'...) if Johnny Cash ever performed this song live. According to Setlist.fm, he did on three occasions. However, I have been unable to find any bootlegs of it. Does anyone know if there are even any recordings of any of these shows?

I wondered that myself some time ago, looked up and down and didn't find anything. Reddit seems to agree that there's no way to find it:
