explaining the financial side of things. It wouldn’t surprise me if the financials are a big factor in Heartland not making it into cinema’s but I could be completely wrong it’s just a thought.

They could just release it in digital platforms and/or physical format, right? Even if the profit is much slimmer than with a cinema release it's still better than just ditching the whole project after spending hundreds of hours in recording and postpro.

I guess it depends. They cancelled Batgirl because it was cheaper to class it as a tax write off as an unreleased project rather than pushing it to streaming services to try recoup some money.
