1. How ever the setlists turn out, I bet Your Song Saved My Life will end the shows
  2. God, I hope they step on South America

I’ve said it before but I think U2 really need to learn from P!nk who comes down to Australia for 3 months and sells out dozens of Arena shows. They did it with Lovetown but everything since has been stadiums over a 2-3 week period.

It’s way too soon to even guess at an answer in my opinion. If they are looking at a world tour starting with Europe in summer and North America in fall, and then doing this Vegas thing when the venue opens in late November 2023, that’s likely where the planning and booking stops. Anything else sounds like it will follow in 2024. You are getting pretty far out there datewise at this point.
  4. I wonder what festivals they'll do. Realistically the only ones in the UK they could do are Glasto (already been done) or Isle of Wight?

I doubt they'd do another festival to be honest. Doesn't really seem their thing to be honest. I do feel maybe they'd have done another one in the UK since Glastonbury if they were keen?

It would be great if they return to Pinkpop, as closing act, in June 2023 after 1981. It will be time for them. Than the circle is round. And a few shows at the Ziggo Dome.
  7. No arenas in Europe...

Yeah I didn't think they would do festivals, but the article from U2songs specifically states "Stadium tour or festival appearances"
  9. U2 really don’t need to fuck with festivals at this point. What’s the point when they can just sell out a nearby stadium of their own fans, and make a lot more money?

Festivals get artists a lot more exposure. I’ve watched several artists between TRNSMT and Glastonbury that otherwise I wouldn’t probably tune into live. Even discovered a couple of artists. That’s just from watching on tv. Festivals might be a good way to get the band talked about again. If they do a few and got into it a bit they might just pull off an excellent performance as well that goes down in the general public as one of their best. Saying all that I still don’t really expect them to do a festival but there are absolutely benefits to playing them especially if it’s something the band just general fancy doing.
  11. people who weren't interested in U2 are likely to find something at these festivals...depending on which ones they are...
  12. I think the Las Vegas residency will be for ZOO TV anniversary shows. Then will do the new album and tour after that.
