1. Yeah I guess the horse has well and truly bolted at this point. But I don't see the point in going to the lengths they did to make it and then just not worry about ever releasing it. Maybe it didn't translate well to the screen. They could at least give it away as a fanclub gift.
  2. I have (a very small) hope that the Heartland film is the odd surprise with this years fanclub gift as a bonus disc. That would make sense cause they're still saying it's a set and we already know it's 1 cd.

    One man can dream 😉
  3. What about the eXPERIENCE + iNNOCENCE Tour documentary?
  4. Was an IE doc weren't it? Not EI?
  5. Yes it was due to be shown on TV ahead of The Paris film on HBO in 2015. When that got rescheduled they didn’t reschedule the documentary, and it’s never really been discussed again.
  6. With the recent news about Batgirl being cancelled with them having already spend tens of millions on filming etc, I wonder if the cost of putting Heartland into cinema’s is something that’s putting a spanner in the works. There’s a bit in this article
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-62419450
explaining the financial side of things. It wouldn’t surprise me if the financials are a big factor in Heartland not making it into cinema’s but I could be completely wrong it’s just a thought.

They could just release it in digital platforms and/or physical format, right? Even if the profit is much slimmer than with a cinema release it's still better than just ditching the whole project after spending hundreds of hours in recording and postpro.

I guess it depends. They cancelled Batgirl because it was cheaper to class it as a tax write off as an unreleased project rather than pushing it to streaming services to try recoup some money.
