1. Yeah I found the final third hard going as well. All the American politics, activism and religion went on a bit. Still a great book though.
  2. ‘America is an idea’. He’s got some serious mileage out of this.

More than anything, this book has made me keen to revisit U2 by U2 at some point in the near future.

Yeah, impossible to get through for me.
  4. Easier with the audio book… his impressions make it easier to get through
  5. Finally finished the book. Enjoyed it. Last few chapters were very nice. Well written, good narrative with the song titles and insightful at times.

    Audiobook is next.
  6. The audiobook is whole experience itself. I have a few hours left on it, but it’s such an immersive listen. Love it.
  7. Just finished the physical book 24 hours after the show. Will do the audiobook over winter on my morning walks.

This book is a whole mini era.
  8. I think someone has mentioned it here already, but that SYCMIOYO in the audiobook caught me off guard. Damn.
  9. Question to anyone that downloaded the audio book after taking up the Audible free month trial and then cancelling your membership…does the audio book still remain? Done this scenario on 1st November, haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet.Just need to know if it stays in your library,or you lose it?

Copy and paste in another folder if unsure
  11. Just finished the audiobook, listened and read at the time for some of it which was cool. Feel a bit gutted it’s finished 😫
  12. Finally got around to watching his appearance on the Graham Norton show and found it very entertaining. Was in hysterics when he feigned anguish about U2 losing out to Frozen at the Oscars, only for Graham to tell him "Let it go, Let it go"

What did catch my eye though was the way Bono was sitting on the couch for most of the night with his right leg stretched out, almost as if he was carrying an injury. Did he sit that way in other shows, or am I reading to much into his body language.
