1. Just read the full article and tbh it sounds like Larry has had enough. If that dynamic can't be resolved they really should bow out.
  2. I'd be bitterly dissapointed if the band ever tour without any of their original members. It goes against everything they've ever said. The dictator comment was particularly interesting.

(Shall this discussion be moved to the Vegas thread)
  3. Starr the poll now. Would you see U2 live without Larry Mullem jnr on drums?
  4. It’s one interview I’d love to read in its entirety. He’s disgruntled for sure. They’ve had much longer between records and tours without such apparent disgruntlement. Very interesting stuff.
  5. Not for me. Lucky enough to have seen every tour starting from Popmart so I have been spoiled though.
  6. It's unfortunate for Larry to be requiring surgery. I wonder if an event happened recently making his pain worse? Why now and not surgery this year or last year when the band was off?
  7. I'm wondering whether he is referring to the dynamic within the band or between the band and, for instance, Livenation

Surgery is always a last resort. Can't predict or forsee how any chronic injury can progress to that stage as opposed to being managed by non surgical treatment. Trust me I have had back issues galore myself
  9. Interesting. Things went downhill generally imo once Paul McGuinness departed anyway

The question is - what has got Larry so disgruntled?
  11. Why didn't he get surgery during Covid? FFS
