1. Hi all,

Amidst all the hype about the Vegas Residency, I've been learning many ZOO TV songs on my Les Paul and I have a question. Does anybody know how I can replicate the sound of the transition between Until The End Of The World and New Year's Day? I initially thought it was pre-recorded, but having listened to a couple of different shows from 1993 I noticed that each transition sounds slightly different. This leads me to believe that maybe Edge is doing something with the guitar?

Here are two links (one from 05-10-1993 and one from 11-27-1993) that capture the sound I'm trying to replicate.

Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated, thank you all so much!

  2. Pretty simple from what I can tell, delay, flanger, maybe some overdrive and he’ll of all out of feedback from the amps!

Wasn’t edges keyboard close to his stage amps for ZooTV?
  3. I had a quick listen its just Feedback when you have overdrive or distortion on and if you move close to the Amp it rings out and feeds back :-)
  4. Extreme example here:

    Wait for it
  5. Thanks for the help guys! Glad to know it’s something simple as feedback. I appreciate the replies!

And thanks for that Facebook link @LikeASong! Sounds like a very interesting group!

They are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly Only drawback is that most of them use Axe FX, Helix or Kemper so those of us that still appreciate and use single pedals are a bit left aside But it's still great to be there. Give me a shout if you present yourself
