1. The percussion sounds digital to me. Still not convinced Larry has yet been heard from on SOS.

Yeah I think there was some pushback within the industry complaining about this tactic. But it really is all a money grab isn't it? Charts really are kind of irrelevant now.

The did away with it in the USA, but it appears it's still possible in the UK:

Album sales bundled with the sale of tickets for live events will be chart eligible where the following
circumstances are met, subject at all times to the Approval Process set out in Appendix 2 and these
    Chart Rules:
    (a) The same artist(s) is/are performing at that live event;
    (b) Each album and ticket is also available to buy individually and this is stated in simple and prominent
terms in the promotion and at the point of purchase; and
    (c) The Bundle has a higher sale price than the price of the ticket alone (subject to the minimum dealer
price requirements set out in Clause 3.0 of these Rules).
Album sales that are ‘baked in’ to a ticket sale (i.e. automatically add an album to a ticket offer), and which
do not provide simple and prominent instructions and means by which the consumer can opt out of the
purchase of an album, are not chart eligible.
Pre-sale ticket allocation may not be dependent upon the pre-order of an album. A customer not wishing to
pre-order an album must be given a simple, prominent and equal ‘no purchase necessary’ opportunity to
    access the ticket pre-sale.
Access to a so-called ticket ‘pre-sale’ will be allowed with an album pre-order provided that the album preorder makes it clear, in simple and prominent terms, that the album pre-order does not guarantee a ticket to
    the consumer.
  4. This album is a joke, right?
  5. wonder if any other colours will drop tonight

It's definitely a chart thing. But if they make some money I'm sure no one is complaining.

That's why you can buy the cassette / vinyl bundle for less than the cost of the vinyl itself on the UK shop. They care more about getting two sales than losing money on the pack in items...
  7. Haha. It is pretty bad. I suppose the only thing I appreciate about it is that it makes it sound less like a Beautiful Day rip-off
  8. Why do they need to reimagine a song that was published 5 years ago?
