1. Oh this was weak.
Although Bono's vocals are good, OOC doesn't really work in acoustic.
    Edge's backings are awful
  2. I really like this version !
  3. I didn't find difference between this and next BD the guitar sounds the same lol
  4. The vocals in the verse are nice, but the rest of the track confuses me. I…would not have made the same choices.

No need for the weird “Out of control” falsetto bit over the riff, certainly.

Sometimes less is more, and that’s clearly always been an area in which the band has struggled.
  5. This is lovely. One of my current faves.
  6. I think they missed an opportunity with this song by not rewriting the lyrics to come from the current day Bono looking back on his 18 year old self. For example, instead of singing “I got spirit, I’ve got soul. I got some big ideas; I’m out of control” i.e singing in the present tense as an 18 year old, they should have changed it to be backwards looking: “I had spirit, I had soul. I had some big ideas; I was out of control”

I just love the “me and my brothers are out of control” it makes me smile. This is one of my favourites on the album.

Maybe he still feels this way?
Who are we to tell the lyricist and singer what to sing?
I don't want to come across rude, but sometimes I really don't get some comments here.

It was an opportunity to rewrite it like that and that’s all the comment points out. Maybe Bono does still feel this way but nobody is telling him what to write or sing. No need to get all defensive over an observation.
  10. — mod edit —
  11. So the intro riff sounds like really similar to a song ‘it’s Because I love you’ by the Masters Apprentices when the band kicks in for the verse
