1. Sorry, my mistake..... Yes, HTDAAB won the most number of Grammy awards for U2, 1 more than ATYCLB.
But I think the general consensus is that HTDAAB won the best album award only because ATYCLB missing the best album Grammy wrongfully. Grammy committee just corrected their earlier mistake. Do you agree ?

I don’t. The back half of ATYCLB is weaker (Grace, Peace On Earth, When I Look At The World) than the back half of HTDAAB, in my opinion. One Step Closer is pretty weak, but the rest of those tracks are solid, and COBL is the best song U2 made since Stay, IMO. I think Bomb is a better album.

I had this same discussion with a friend recently, and I agree with you. HTDAAB is the superior album — not by much, mind you — as it just gets more replay from me over the years. It is all about side 2 of each album. Side one of ATYCLB is probably the better of the two, though.
  4. SHAPIRO: But did you both know U2? Did you both know who Bono was?

HOLMES: I had found out prior. Oh, but my parents do. They was like, U2? It was like...

SKIPPER: Not even parents - my dad - 'cause I know my dad was like, look them up. So I looked them up, and, like, I see they performed at the Super Bowl. I'm like, oh, they must be, like, big news...

    HOLMES: (Laughter).

    SHAPIRO: Yeah. Yeah, you know.

It's funny but sad. Most of the people under 30 not only don't care about U2: they don't even know them Talk about staying relevant bla bla

I think ATYCLB has endured more because most of its songs worked very well in live settings. But yes, COBL is definitely the best song from 2000-2009.

Kite, The Ground Beneath Her Feet and SYCMIOYO are knowking on your door. They're angry.
  8. I agree with 2 out of 3 of these. Never understood the draw to The Ground Beneath....
  9. Kite is better in live than the studio recording ( specially 2006 live version ).
