"We were going to call it Miami, but we ended up calling it Pop because what we really trying to look for was the meaning and real artistic value of things that people might overlook. They might not get why it was cool, why it was interesting. A lot of the visual artists int he 60s did the same in the Pop art form, taking images that most would take for granted as shallow, and they would find a way to shine a light on them and make them beautiful and give them meaning and depth."
