favorite tour: ZOO TV
"I wasn't even born at that time, but the genius of this tour actually surpasses everything else of the best band in the world."
favorite show: 2018-11-13 - Berlin
"Although it was only my second U2 concert (actually the first, if you don't include the night of 01.09.), it was and will always be something very special for me. Especially the Achtung Baby / Zooropa block made the evening unforgettable for me."
about florianholland
My name is Florian Holland, I was born in 1999 in Altötting in beautiful Bavaria and lived in Mühldorf a. Inn until 2019 when I moved to Munich in 2019. I am studying brand and communication design and my wish is to take over the design for various tours and magazines later. I have also played guitar and sung since I was 8 years old.
I have already played in various bands and am currently recording my first album with my band "Holland", which is scheduled for release in 2020. In fact, my first self-sung song "With or Without You" - in retrospect, a horrible performance, after which I was even advised against making music - but I never gave up! My first favourite band was actually Sunrise Avenue, which is why my whole family can't hear "Fairytale Gone Bad" anymore. That's why my grandma bought me my first CD with "On the Way to Wonderland". My next favourite band was then The Killers - still a very high level of my favourite band list today. Apart from U2, Coldplay and In Flames are probably my biggest favourite bands. Oh yes, there are also the Kings of Leon, whose concert in 2010 was my very first one.
Since then I have been to about 150 single shows and have seen countless bands at 15 festivals. I would like to mention my best concerts so far at this point: Coldplay (2012, Munich Olympic Stadium), Ed Sheeran (2018, Munich Olympic Stadium), Imagine Dragons (2018, Munich Olympic Hall), In Flames (2018, Sulingen Reload Festival), U2 (2018, Berlin Mercedes-Benz Arena). These are definitely my best concerts so far - with an objective evaluation, a clear 10/10 points (yes, I rank and rate very, very gladly). My all time favourite albums include the following: Attention Baby (U2), Day & Age (The Killers), The Joshua Tree (U2), Live from the Royal Albert Hall (The Killers), Mylo Xyloto (Coldplay), Sounds of a Playground Fading (In Flames) and Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends (Coldplay) Oh yes, I shouldn't forget to mention that I also have a great love for Metal. Musically seen, I really listen to everything. Rap, Hip-Hop, Metal, Deathcore, Grindcore, Electro - but I will always prefer Rock, Indie and Pop.
But now for the most important thing: Like all of you I'm burning for U2 - they have always helped me in difficult and good times and made me strong! I came into contact with U2 very early on. My mother had been a fan since "Boy", so I was involved from the very beginning. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, so I am also a die-hard U2 fan. I've only really been a fan since the I+E phase in 2015, when I bought the DVD of the Paris concert in 2015 after the Apple campaign with "Songs of Innocence". And I was absolutely fascinated - especially by the October / Bullet the Blue Sky / Zooropa / Where the Streets Have No Name - Block. For me live one of the best things the band has ever played. Unfortunately, I have only been able to experience U2 once so far, on 13.11. in Berlin (2x to be precise, if you count the 20 minutes from 1.9. in Berlin). U2 always manages to make me happy and put a smile on my face. Especially in 2018, when I had the pleasure to shake hands with Bono, Adam and The Edge in front of the Waldorf Astoria (unfortunately I didn't get an autograph yet). I washed my hand after all - contrary to the advice not to do it. Since the beginning of this year I have become a member of U2.com and also here at U2tour.de - and since August 2019 I am also part of the staff team.
