    Yes they lyrics and you could pick out another few lines from that song. I think the line ‘she never got to say goodbye, to see the colour in his eyes,
    Now he’s in the dirt’ is brutally great. That’s really hard hitting.

  9. While reading a novel, I stumbled upon the Basque folk singer Mikel Laboa. He has really beautiful songs like this one (lyrics are from Xabier Lete)


    I translated the lyrics for you (starting with a translation from Euskara) and it goes like this:

    PS. Basque is such, such, such a weird language And yet (or hence?) it attracts me inevitably.

    These are some of the most poetic words I have ever read. And believe me, I have assimilated countless poems, dramas, tragedies, etc that writers have provided mankind with over many centuries. This is among the most touching, thoughtful and inspiring works I know. Thanks so much for sharing.
