    I might have a go at the full ratings before the end of the night it’s been a year since my last attempt and a few songs have changed up and down I think for starters SOI will be higher and SOE lower than the top 5 songs only ranking.

  9. I agree with a lot of your ratings, Dean but your lack of scores of 2 to 5 make those 1/10 seem a little harsh.

    I know it’s a big jump it’s just for me to dislike a u2 song I really need to dislike it. The songs I’ve gave a 1/10 I have no intention of ever listening to in isolation. I still play full albums or shows that these songs feature in case I some how enjoy them but I haven’t yet. Then I jump to a 6 because I don’t dislike any of the songs that aren’t a 1 and I think a lower than 6 rating would be too low a score for a song I don’t dislike. Maybe an out of 5 rating would give slightly fairer scores if I can’t give lower than a 1 still. It would bring them up closer to the top 4 which I don’t have any 1/10’s on and bring the albums with two 1/10 songs closer as well.

    Yeah that's been brought up in the past. I guess there's a grade inflation and also an unconscious tendency to rate every song against the rest on their album rather than the rest of the discography.
